Three dishes with different jobs
| Dish | Make | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Buffalo chicken sliders | 2 batches, 12 sliders | 2 small sliders per person with sides |
| Cucumber and radish salad | 3 batches | 6 side portions |
| Chocolate and marshmallow dip | 2 small skillets | 8 small dessert portions, leaving 2 extra |
The chicken recipe includes buns and its carrot and celery topping. Do not add another chicken allowance or another bun count in the planner. The two dessert pans are whole batches rather than a claim that six people need eight portions.
Shop from the whole menu
This opens a fresh menu for six regular adult portions with no added leftovers, replacing the saved plan. The recipes and guest count remain editable. Check the generated ingredient list against the pantry, then add drinks, ice and serving supplies separately.
For the main alone, two batches use 2 pounds raw boneless thighs and 12 slider buns. The recipes supply exact quantities for the sauces, vegetables and dessert rather than an estimated grocery price.
Prepare around one hot task
- Wash and slice the cucumber and radish. Refrigerate them separately from the dressing. Mix the carrot and celery topping for the sliders and keep it cold.
- Prepare both dessert pans before handling raw chicken. Keep the strawberries refrigerated. The dessert can bake while the main rests, or after lunch when everyone is ready for it.
- Make the Buffalo sauce and set out a clean cooked chicken board, clean tongs and a thermometer.
- Grill only as many thighs as fit with room to turn. Check each piece for 165°F. If cooking in rounds, keep finished chicken at 140°F or above rather than on an unheated tray.
- Chop the cooked chicken on the clean board, toss with the sauce and build the sliders near serving time. Dress the cucumber side at the table.
The single batch chicken window is about 12 to 18 minutes plus a short rest. Two batches can take longer if they do not fit together. That is a capacity question, not something a portion multiplier solves.
Keep the game from becoming the serving clock
Put out smaller amounts and replenish from food held at safe temperatures. Keep cold toppings and salad at 40°F or below. Refrigerate perishables within 2 hours, or within 1 hour above 90°F. A hot skillet also needs a stable trivet away from children.
For a beef alternative, use the existing game day slider menu. Use the cookout checklist for equipment and storage.
