Pay for the interruption you want to avoid
For a short burger cook, opening hinged grate sections to add fuel may matter less than it does during a longer indirect cook. If your meals regularly need more charcoal partway through, that access deserves a closer look.
An enclosed catcher changes the ash handling arrangement. A lid cradle gives the removed lid a defined place. Neither feature establishes a better tasting burger. Compare how often each convenience would be used in your cooking space.
The diameter is only the beginning of the fit
A 22 inch grate has to hold the food and leave room for the fire arrangement your recipe needs. A full grate of patties and a roast sitting away from the coals use the same diameter differently. Check pan width, lid clearance and the room needed to turn or move food.
A lid thermometer measures at its own location. It does not tell you the internal temperature of the meat. Choose a suitable food thermometer for those checks.
